Building Homes, Communities, and Hope

Last year, in collaboration with economists from Deloitte and an advisory group, Habitat Canada conducted a study of the social and economic benefits of our Affordable Homeownership Program. More than 600 families currently living in Habitat homes responded to a comprehensive survey about changes to their education, health and well-being, community involvement, employment and financial security after becoming homeowners.

The study allows us to quantify what we already know to be true: that the benefits of our homeownership program are transformative for families and a significant contributor to local communities and Canada's economy.
