Donate Land
The limited availability and high cost of land across Greater Victoria is a stumbling block to building affordable housing. Although Habitat Victoria is sometimes able to get discounted land from Municipal surplus lists, most of the time we must purchase land on the open market. If you know of a property that may be suitable for a Habitat Victoria build or want to donate your property for future development, please contact us. In some cases, a tax receipt can be provided for land donations.
Host a Third Party Event or Fundraiser
Independent special events or third-party fundraisers are a very important component of the fundraising activities of Habitat for Humanity Victoria. Fundraising initiatives organized by individuals, community groups, and partner organizations increase our capacity to build more homes and facilitate affordable homeownership for local families. Donate your Gently Used Goods to the ReStore - Get a Tax Receipt
Habitat for Humanity Victoria ReStore sells quality new and gently used furniture, appliances, home décor items and building materials. Everything we sell is donated by the local community. The proceeds cover Habitat for Humanity Victoria's administration costs ensuring that all donations go directly to our build program.
Gift-In-Kind donations to the ReStore valued at $300 or more may qualify for a tax receipt, just ask a member of our team when you make your donation. Click here to see what items the ReStore accepts.
Donate to our Build with Gift-In-Kind

Drop off your scrap metal
Drop off your scrap metal at our ReStores. Our partnership with Schnitzer Steel means that your scrap metal donation helps fund Habitat for Humanity Victoria.
Donate your vehicle
Donate A Car Canada accepts vehicle donations for Habitat Victoria. When you donate your RV, boat, motorcycle or other vehicle to Habitat for Humanity Victoria through Donate A Car Canada, it will either be recycled or sold at auction depending on its condition, age and location.
