Decent housing saves lives.
It's a foundation where families become healthier, where kids leave for school in the morning and do their homework at night, where parents rest from one day
and plan for the next.
In decent housing, walls are strong and roofs are secure - and the family inside
focuses more on thriving than surviving.
Our Vision: A world where everyone has a safe and decent place to live.
Our Mission: To eliminate poverty through home ownership.
Founded in 1990, Habitat for Humanity Victoria is one of over 72 affiliate chapters in Canada that have together built over 1,250 homes to date. It is part of a worldwide network that spans 110 countries, has built over 225,000 homes and is now building a new home every 21 minutes.
Our Victoria chapter completed its 11th home in 2007 and will complete five more homes in January, 2010. Our goal is to complete 22 homes by the end of 2010. More about Habitat for Humanity Victoria...
